About the Role: Mechanical Engineer – FEA Analyst

We are currently looking for a highly motivated mid-level FEA engineer with a BS/MS and at least 5 (preferably 10) years of work experience, at a fast-paced, internationally growing organization with a start-up culture. In this role, you will participate in a wide range of real-world consulting projects including the design, analysis, and optimization of turbomachinery components.

Responsibilities

  • Create finite element models of complex components (rotating and stationary) and assemblies for structural analysis
  • Perform static steady state/transient, modal, shock, and fatigue analyses for turbomachinery components such as blades, impellers, rotors, and casings
  • Analyze results for stress, strain, displacement, and modes, and conclude on machine reliability
  • Prepare final reports, formal documentation, and presentation materials summarizing analysis results, and present results internally and to clients
  • Support the FEA software development group and deliver software demonstrations to prospective and current clients

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related science
  • 5–10 years of experience in structural analysis
  • Solid knowledge of strength and structural vibrations
  • Understanding of structural analysis methods, including FEA
  • Proficient with commercial finite element analysis programs, preferably ANSYS Mechanical and/or Siemens Simcenter
  • Knowledge of CAD tools is preferred
  • Background in turbomachinery components mechanical analysis is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts
