Seminar: Holistic Modeling of Energy Conversion & Thermal Management Systems

Note: this seminar has been moved online. Please contact sales@softinway.com with any questions.

This 6-hour seminar focuses on the motivations and execution of holistic modeling for engineers and managers involved in energy conversion (power generation, propulsion, refrigeration, etc.) and thermal management (including fuel cell temperature regulation, generator/motor and electronic cooling, and heat exchangers) systems.

The concept of holistic modeling ("The whole is greater than the sum of its parts") will first be introduced before diving into relevant practical examples to highlight their features and benefits over conventional modeling practices.

Holistic 0D-1D model of an aircraft engine with its environmental control system in AxSTREAM System Simulation™

This methodology significantly improves decision-making and time-to-market through complete early multiphysics system-level modeling to drive innovation, save engineering time, shorten design cycles, enhance reliability, reduce physical prototyping, and improve all-around performance/

The remainder of the seminar will enable participants to explore the creation and usage of holistic system modeling themselves by assembling the comprehensive list of embedded components and using ready-to-use templates in AxSTREAM System Simulation. This includes pre-design tasks such as evaluating system architectures and optimizing boundary conditions, as well as detailed design tasks for equipment sizing and understanding dynamic system behavior using transient calculations.

Cost:

  • $150 for commercial organizations
  • $100 for academic organizations

Note: Attendees will also receive a complimentary 1-month license to the software along with technical support.
