AxSTREAM™ Evolves Beyond the Flow Path

Burlington, MA – SoftInWay Inc., leading Turbomachinery company, has relaunched their industry leading flow path design, analysis and optimization software, AxSTREAM™, as a next generation turbomachinery development platform, capable not only of designing the flow path, but now also rotors, bearings, and other components.

SoftInWay Inc. was founded in 1999 as a consulting company, and since releasing AxSTREAM™ in 2005 to a few select clients, has grown to a team of 60+ advanced engineers. SoftInWay services close to 300 companies worldwide, supporting the industry in reducing engineering cost and time, while increasing innovation and capabilities.

While other companies have attempted to develop products and capabilities by licensing significant portions of code from Universities and vendors, SoftInWay has been aggressively hiring industry experts and researchers to develop all of the capabilities in-house. SoftInWay has full control of the development process, speed, quality control and technical support, and is the only company in the market who has developed every piece of code and solver in-house.

SoftInWay Inc. Adds Bearing Design and Rotor Dynamics Modules to AxSTREAM Software Platform

Burlington, MA – On August 3, 2015, SoftInWay Inc. released two new modules for its industry-leading software platform, AxSTREAMTM AxSTREAMTM Bearings and AxSTREAMTM RotorDynamics.  AxSTREAMTM is used by hundreds of companies throughout the world for the design, redesign, and analysis of optimal turbomachinery. The newest additions to the platform have expanded SoftInWay’s engineering capabilities and shortened project time more than ever before.

“We are thrilled about this latest release”, said SoftInWay COO, Valentine Moroz, “The Bearings and RotorDynamics modules will play a key role in saving time and money, and improving safety across numerous industries including, Aerospace, Automotive, and Power Generation.”

AxSTREAMTM Bearings allows users to design and analyze detailed models of bearings for different configurations by performing steady-state, transient, and map analysis. The module’s capabilities produce results used in rotor dynamics analysis. AxSTREAMTM RotorDynamics performs this analysis of the firm and dynamic characteristics of rotating machinery.

The modules are fully integrated with each other, as well as into the AxSTREAM software platform, for seamless communication resulting in radically reduced project time and costs. The new modules are key to making improvements to the safety and performance of machine systems. Both modules consist of a user-friendly interface for easy operation and understanding, while providing fast and accurate results.

SoftInWay will be demonstrating the new software platform modules in its next free webinar on September 3rd. Registration is available at http://www2.softinway.com/rotordynamics.

SoftInWay Inc. to Host Networking Event at Turbo Expo 2015

Burlington, MA – SoftInWay Inc. announces its plans to host an evening networking event for the ASME Turbo Expo 2015 in Montréal, Canada. This is the next SoftInWay event organized through the company’s Zurich AfterWork networking organization which hosts international gatherings for professionals involved in the Energy, Technology, Startup, and Finance Industries.

Zurich AfterWork originated in Switzerland as a means for professionals to meet and network in a casual and enjoyable setting. Since its conception, Zurich AfterWork has expanded its reach from the Zurich area, holding events in London, Vienna, and Munich. This will be the first Zurich AfterWork in North America. “We hope that bringing Zurich AfterWork to Canada will benefit a new piece of the industry population that was unable to attend our European events,” said ZAW creator, Valentine Moroz.

The ASME Turbo Expo is bringing together thousands of turbomachinery and energy professionals, all looking to expand their industry knowledge and professional connections. Zurich AfterWork offers a more targeted platform to those in Energy, Tech, Finance, and Startups on which to collaborate and seek new opportunities and ventures.

The Expo will be held from June 15-19, 2015. Zurich AfterWork – Montréal Edition will take place at the Santos Tapas Bar on Tuesday, June 16th, beginning at 6:30pm. The event is free to attend, and special drink prices will be available. Space will be limited so attendees are encouraged to RVSP in advance by visiting ZurichAfterWork.com, or by stopping by booth #616 at Turbo Expo.

SoftInWay Launches STU – An Online Turbomachinery Training Resource

Burlington, MA – Today SoftInWay Inc., leaders in turbomachinery design and consulting, launched its new official online training center – SoftInWay Turbomachinery University. SoftInWay Turbomachinery University, or STU, was built from the company’s Learning Center, which was released in beta this past fall. A large amount of interest in the Center led SoftInWay to develop STU- a larger and more user-friendly training hub.

STU consists of a wide variety of learning materials. The turbomachinery training courses, typically only offered in classrooms throughout the world, have been transformed into comprehensive videos that registered users can watch at their own pace. Once all sections and corresponding quizzes are completed, users must pass a final exam in order to receive a certification specific to the course. The course certifications will allow users to market their turbomachinery design capabilities to potential employers or universities.

STU also features a variety of webinar recordings. The webinars cover a wide range of topics including modern engineering trends of turbines, pumps, compressors, and thermodynamic cycles. The webinars also feature live turbomachinery design demonstrations using SoftInWay’s flagship software suites, AxSTREAMTM and AxCYCLETM.

SoftInWay has pushed the site’s teaching capabilities even further by offering a discounted version of the AxSTREAMTM software to STU users as a course companion. Those who choose to use the sophisticated software will be able to apply their knowledge and practice their design skills with it. “STU will be an extremely convenient and affordable resource for anyone interested in developing their engineering knowledge and abilities,” stated SoftInWay Managing Director, Valentine Moroz.

STU was completely redesigned and is now sleek and easy to navigate. The site develops daily and will continue to grow as new courses and other materials are added. See the new STU website by visiting http://learn.softinway.com.
